This would ensure, if you're playing as either Skarsnik or Belegar that you have to interact with him to dislodge him.

The one suggestion I've read, that I kind of like, is to let Queek start WITH CONTROL of Eight Peaks. If you play as one of the other two, Queek is currently a non-factor entirely. Queek was never really incorporated well as a contender into the Race. He could use some local buffs to his starting army, even if it's only for AI Skarsnik, or a buffer enemy between himself and the Empire so he can more effectively move against the Dwarfs, and later Belegar.Īnother example is Queek. Skarsnik gets killed off way too early by a buffed Empire for example.

As I mentioned before, the Race doesn't quite feel as intense as it used to. That doesn't mean I wouldn't suggest any changes. And moving them apart only lowers their potential interaction with the player before something happens to them. If they don't do much to each other as AI factions, then that doesn't make a strong difference to me tbh. These people need to be strong early game threats to each for for the player.

Or at least, it accomplishes this better than flinging them super far away, to potentially get killed off or confederated long before you'd ever meet them while doing the Race for Eight Peaks yourself. Having them close by, and aggressive, accomplishes this. The point is for you, as the player, when you play as one of them, to deal with them as a rival. Like who cares if they don't make a regional splash when you're playing as somebody else. Keep in mind, the Race for Eight Peaks isn't for the AI. So the Race to 8 Peaks definitely isn't currently functioning as smoothly from a narrative standpoint as it did in Game 1.īut the solution is NOT moving them farther apart. Queek - Where he currently is in Karag Orrud Skarsnik - Misty Mountains where skull Krag is replaced by a dwarf minor faction owning the rest of the province. Maybe warhammer 3 will spread things out better to place them in more equally competitive spots to headbutt against and race for the mountain.īelegar -Mount Silver back with Karag Azul replaced with a greenskin tribe or relegated to one settlement. Overall the idea would be getting each of them close enough to be the big regional contenders and making their way to fight for the mountain more prominent.Ĭouple of suggested spots I think would be ideal to move them. Mainly in that their close proximity kinda defeats the point of the whole "race to the mountain." As they either kill each other off before the race has really started or they just never leave a splash because they are so adamant to kill one another rather then take the mountain (or in skarsniks place he kinda just sits there forever). Overall I love both of these lords but I feel the way CA handled their campaign positions is stifling their entertainment value a bit. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.844 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
